Silk was actually born Silk was born in Fredericton (New Brunswick), Canada. Ilkay Silk was an acclaimed actor, producer and director and also a professor at St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter an academic with a reputation for excellence. Anna recounts some of the earliest moments of her childhood when she used to see her mother in play rehearsals. Silk was a small girl in numerous commercials. She graduated from St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least two early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto for her acting to improve in November of 1999. After a decade, she moved into Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an Actors Workshop in Los Angeles in 2007. After getting engaged in 2008, they married in 2009. The couple renewed their vows on April 10th, 2011, in Fredericton following the wedding, when the bride changed her religion to Judaism.
